$1 Million Raised, $250,000 To Go!

Thanks to all of you in our great community, we just hit the major milestone of raising $1 million for the new Station 2! We’re in the final fundraising stretch, with $250,000 needed to meet our goal of raising $1.25 million. If you’ve not yet donated — or if you have more in your budget to give — and want to learn more about the new station, you can read about it here and make a donation here.

If you missed the Station 2 groundbreaking event or want to see how construction is progressing, visit the new Construction Photos & Videos page on our website and you can follow along. You’ll find a video of the groundbreaking presentations along with some photos from the day, as well as pictures and videos from the past couple of weeks of construction. We hope you enjoy them, and be sure to check the page periodically as new highlights are added.

Station 2 Construction Begins!

We are thrilled to announce that we are starting construction of the new Station 2! Next Wednesday, August 11, decommissioning of the existing station will begin. We ask those of you in Boulder Heights and along Lee Hill Drive to drive with extra care, especially around low-visibility bends in the road. There will be more big trucks on the roads than usual delivering heavy equipment and moving—and removing—material.

Station 2 Groundbreaking Event, Saturday, July 31

Boulder Mountain Fire will soon begin construction of a new fire station that will replace Station 2, which supports our entire district. We invite all residents to join us for a groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday, July 31, at 10:00 am. The celebration will include a few speakers, a shovel turning, refreshments, renderings of the new station, and fire engine tours. It’s an event for the whole family! The address is 50 Overlook Lane, in Boulder Heights. We hope to see you there!
